Personal Financial Readiness Program
Bundles for Babies - If you are an Air Force active duty member or spouse of an active duty member who is expecting a baby or is a new mother, you are encouraged to register for a "Bundles for Babies" class. It is a one hour course on financial education. Upon completion of the class, receive a free "bundle" that the Air Force Aid Society purchased from the Gerber Company. This gift from the AFAS consists of a tote bag, receiving blanket, washcloths, hooded towels, sleepers, onesies and more! Call Family Advocacy to schedule the class.
Check Wise - Basic checking and credit course.
Credit When Credit Is Due - A nationally standardized credit education course. If you are just establishing or rebuilding your credit, this class may help you improve your credit score. The course covers credit cards, home buying, car buying, loans, budgeting, and bankruptcy. Books are provided free of charge, and they are yours to keep for future reference.
CSB/REDUX TSP & SBP - Educate Military members eligible to choose between High 3 or CSB/REDUX pros and cons of each. Thrift Savings Plan and Survivor Benefit Plan are also briefed.
Home Buying Course - This course provides information on the ins and outs of home buying from start to closing. You learn how to research, tips on what to look for in used homes, how financing a home works, and many fees you should be aware of.
Money in Motion - This class teaches the basics of money. It deals with credit and investing.
Officer PFM Refresher Course - Mandatory financial management course for First duty station officers.
Predatory Lending: This class is designed to help you avoid falling victim to predatory lenders.
Employment Assistance Program
Civilian Resume Writing Class - Learn the basics of writing a civilian resume and learn some advanced techniques to create that unique resume that will make you stand out in the crowd of applicants and have a better chance of getting that dream job.

Resume Workshop - Stop in to get your resume reviewed by our staff and some local employers.
Readiness Program
Pre-Deployment Briefings are mandatory for those deploying or going TDY for over 30 days. The briefing is held on Tuesday at 1230 hours in the Airman & Family Readiness Center. Pre-registration is required. If you have a large group or team deploying please contact us to set-up a briefing specifically for your group. Spouses are welcome and encouraged to attend. You do not have to attend this briefing if you are already in DepTAC. Please call to register for the briefing.
Reintegration Briefings are held at 1330 hours on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Airman & Family Readiness Center. Briefers include the Readiness NCO from the Airman & Family Readiness Center, Mental Health staff, Chaplains and the Military and Family Life Consultants. Spouses are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please call to register for the briefing.
Key Spouse Training - Key Spouses are a peer-to-peer support system. They understand the difficulties and rewards of military life and "know what it is like." They have extensive knowledge of unit, community programs, and organizations plus the resources to get the answers to your questions.The Key Spouse program is always looking for energetic spouses that would like to volunteer with this program. The Airman & Family Readiness Center provides initial Key Spouse Training (in 3 separate sessions) and ongoing advanced training. Spouse Deployment/Reintegration Dinner - Spouses can hear about the services they can receive while their loved one is gone. They will hear from Incare, a Chaplain, a First Sergeant, a Key spouse, the Fitness Center, HAWC, A&FRC, Wing Command and Wing CC! Dinner & childcare is provided.
Transition Program
Pre-Separation Briefing - This is congressionally mandated and therefore a mandatory briefing. All military members should receive pre-separation counseling no later than 90 days prior to your separation or retirement. It is suggested to complete it 12 months prior to separating or 24 months before retiring from the military. During this briefing you will be able to register for the Transition Assistance Workshop (TAP) and Disabled Transition Assistance Workshop (DTAP). Registration is Required. Pre-Separation Briefings are held every Tuesday at 0900 and last until 1030 hours.
Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop - Excellent information for anyone leaving the military. This three-day program is designed to prepare military members, civilians, and their families for their transition journey from federal service to civilian life. It covers topics such as skill transferability, the job search process, benefits, education, etc. This is a program you need to think about attending about 2 years before retirement or 1 year prior to separation. TAP is also a good refresher course for those who are a few months/weeks from getting out. Attendance at a Pre-Separation Briefing is a prerequisite to registering for any TAP Workshop. Plan ahead! Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP) Workshop -
This briefing is for those individuals who:
(1) are being separated or retiring due to a service-connected disability
(2) are being medically discharged
(3) suspect they have a service-connected disability
The briefing provides information concerning medical and other disability benefits you may be entitled to use, as well as information concerning how to access that information.
Relocation Program
Right Start - Orientation program for incoming military members and DOD civilian employees - a first opportunity to meet the people who will help them settle into their new community. Spouses are encouraged to attend. Military members need to bring their medical records. Their will be a B1b tour, so dress for the weather. Follow this link for more information and dates.
